The Qwellers movement is officially heading back to Pretoria for another highly anticipated Qwellersfontein experience. Following the success of the Qwellersfontein Braam Freshers Hangout earlier this year, the collective has now confirmed that the next edition of the event will take place on 6 June at The Ketchup Joint in Pretoria.
Over the past few months, Qwellers has continued to grow into one of the most exciting youth culture movements in South Africa. More than just an events brand, the platform has created a space where music, fashion and street culture come together. Their gatherings have become known for bringing together young creatives, artists and supporters who connect through authentic local sounds and shared culture.
This upcoming Pretoria edition is already generating excitement online, especially after the first group of artists on the lineup was officially announced. The event will proudly showcase talent that represents Pretoria and the city’s growing influence within South African hip hop and urban culture.
Leading the lineup is Loatinover Pounds, one of Pretoria’s most respected rap voices. Known for his storytelling ability and raw lyricism, the rapper continues to represent the streets of Pretoria through his music while building a loyal fanbase across the country.
The North Mob has also been announced as part of the lineup, adding even more local flavour to the event. The collective has become an important part of Pretoria’s underground music scene and continues to push its unique sound to wider audiences.
Jay Jody is another major addition to the event. Widely recognised for his lyrical depth and commanding performances, Jay Jody’s presence adds major excitement to an already strong lineup. Also featured on the lineup are Mochen and G-Tech, two rising names contributing to Pretoria’s fast-growing creative scene. Together, the artists announced so far represent the energy, diversity and talent currently coming out of the capital city.
