Yoruba Nation Agitators have said that they would resume their protest on Saturday September 11, 2021 (today) in the hometown of incarcerated campaigner Sunday Igboho.
However, the rally will a whole new dimension from from the previous ones; it is a show of solidarity with Igboho now languishing in a Benin Republic prison after an aborted bid to escape to Germany.
Igboho wanted to escape following the raid of his home in Ibadan by DSS operatives where two persons were killed on July 1, 2021.
Twelve others were arrested and taken to Abuja. Ten of them have been freed after legal efforts by lawyers.

The DSS has however charged the remaining two with terrorism, with the only woman arrested charged with ‘Facebook terrorism’.
Igboho’s spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, hinted about the rally in a video post on Facebook, according to The Nation.
Koiki said: “Yoruba Nation Rally will be happening in the town of our Father Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho Oosa – Date: 11th of September 2021 – Time: 10:00am Host: Gbogbo Omo Yoruba Agbaye.”
After his arrest at Cotonou airport, Igboho, real name Sunday Adeyemo, was first detained at the Brigade économique et financière (BEF).
He is now at Prison Civile de Cotonou — Cotonou Civil Prison, following the order of the Cour De’appal De Cotonou.
