Sjava has opened up about the creative process behind “Madibuseng,” a track from his recent project iNkanyezi NeZinkanyezi, highlighting the role played by LaCabra and Lowfeye in shaping the final sound.

Speaking about the collaboration, Sjava linked “Madibuseng” to an earlier working relationship with the two artists on Typhoon, a track that gained notable traction among listeners. He explained that the decision to bring them back was intentional and rooted in familiarity with their creative approach.

“If you remember well, they were also on that track ‘Typhoon,’ which is a song that did very well that you supported, so I thought let me get them again and see what we can do together,” he said. “Because I’m very fond of them, and I’m a person who loves them more than anything.”

Sjava described the collaboration as a continuation of an established musical chemistry, with “Madibuseng” serving as another opportunity to build on that foundation. He emphasized that their inclusion was not incidental but aligned with the direction he envisioned for the record.

The production of the track was handled by Herc Cut The Lights, whose contribution Sjava said played a central role in determining the song’s collaborative structure. According to him, the beat itself informed the choice of featured artists.

“The beat was produced by Herc, and I felt like in terms of production, I think it’s a song they are best suited for and they spoke on what I believe is needed on the song, and they came through,” he said.

He further detailed the recording process, pointing to the speed and efficiency with which LaCabra and Lowfeye delivered their contributions after receiving the track.

“I sent them the track in the morning, and they sent it back before the sun set, which shows you that they are dedicated, focused and serious about what they do,” Sjava explained.

The artist also addressed the impact of their verses on the overall composition of “Madibuseng,” noting that their input aligned with the expectations set during production.

“They made it onto the song because they have got the skill, very dedicated, and their verses have a lot of impact and added so much value to the project,” he said.

“Madibuseng” is structured around a blend of Sjava’s signature vocal style and contributions from LaCabra and Lowfeye, whose verses complement the tone set by the production. The collaboration continues a series of joint efforts between Sjava and members of the Qwellers, following their earlier appearance on “Typhoon,” which formed part of his extended body of work.
