Following the announcement of the 11th South African Hip Hop Awards 2022, Universal Music South Africa would like to cordially accept the respective nominations on behalf of our associated artists who have worked hard in keeping the “Hip-Hop Kulture” alive over the past year.
In accepting the nominations from the SA HIP HOP AWARDS, Universal Music would also like to take a bow to the nominees and congratulate each one of them. These Hip-Hop Awards provide an annual platform to celebrate the achievement of Mzansi’s Hip Hop artists on their hard work and contribution within our entertainment industry and this year the awards will be held on 06 December 2022.

- Loki – Shoda Ngami (Song of the year)
- Roiii – La Vida Loca (Song of the year)
- Maglera Doe Boy – Diaspora (Best Male & Album of the year)
- Cassper Nyovest – MVP/Hustler of the year
A huge congratulations to Khuli Chana who has been announced as the winner for the Ubuntu Activism Award. The Ubuntu Activism consists of efforts to promote, impede, direct, or intervene in social, economic, or environmental reform with the desire to make changes in society toward a perceived greater good using hip hop as a tool. This award is mainly to reward a hip hop activist who is giving back to his/her community
We would like to wish all nominees the best as this is a major milestone for their respective music careers, which will certainly motivate them to do more and inspire others.
